POEM #4
There have been times in my life I've felt the things I know fade slowly into the background, from being a part of the compass and noise of the "real" world into something that exists, sure, but barely. A whisper. Some of these things were more fragile than I thought, others held on from childhood, a form of nostalgic tethering. This is a reminder, a note to self present and future, that this feeling of being left behind, of a loosening grip on what's real, isn't always a bad thing. Moving on.
