POEM #20
The yellow brick road and all other neatly packaged stories always zoom in on the end goal. If only we could get there. If only. And if we did, all our problems would be solved! At the time, I was so devastated to realize not that the illusion had been broken but that I had been tricked all along. I realized later of course how lucky I was that "almost there" saved me. Incomplete was my salvation.
