POEM #10
Sometime during the last few years, I stopped making New Year’s resolutions. They were more fun when you had all of life ahead of you, less fun when every year you look back and see everything you didn’t do. I’ve succumbed instead to wish lists, the kind I used to write as a kid. They always say life’s short. What a waste it is to be spending it on things I resolve to do rather than what I want to do. So every once in a while and way more often than once at the start of the year, I write myself a new one.
